Is my vehicle admitted or not?

If your vehicle meets the LEZ standards, a free registration will suffice. If you have a non-admitted motor vehicle, you must buy an LEZ day pass. Check here to see whether your vehicle is admitted or not.

My vehicle is admitted according to the LEZ standards

• Register in advance

Foreign vehicles must always be registered in advance, even if they are admitted according to the standards.

You can register online via the website of the City of Antwerp, any time between four months before and one day after entering the LEZ.

• Register on-site

You can register your vehicle at an LEZ machine. This can be done any time between four months before and one day after entering the LEZ. You can find more information about the machines here.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not take any risks and remember to register your vehicle online in advance. If you register your vehicle late, you will still have to pay the fine. In case of repeated offences, the fine can amount to 350 EUR.

My vehicle is not admitted according to the LEZ standards

• Buy a paid admission or an LEZ day pass online

You can buy a paid admission online here. This can be done any time between four months before and one day after entering the LEZ. First read through the questions to determine whether your vehicle is eligible for free registration. If your vehicle does not meet the standards, but is eligible for the purchase of a permit, you can buy a permit for one week, four months or one year.

If your vehicle does not qualify for a paid admission or you did not buy a paid admission in time, you can buy an LEZ day pass online here. This can be done any time between four months before and one day after entering the LEZ.

• Purchase an LEZ day pass on-site

You can buy an LEZ day pass on-site, from a machine. You can do so:

• at a parking meter on the street;
• at an LEZ machine inside or outside the LEZ zone.
